The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area each day. The click here provider position developed for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
